Its been 6 months since I blogged on here... and yes it is 'a blog about my life as it happens' but sometimes life happens and there is no time to take notes........... :-(

There are so many memories I would have liked to take note of, especially in pictures but I haven't... why is that I wonder...its not for want of trying...

I'll do it tomorrow...

I'm back!

Its been a long while now since I've blogged here. :(
I was all set to blog every day when I started, ok maybe every "other" day... um scratch that... ok every week??? mmmmh as much as I can... yes that sounds more like it...ok...where was I? I'm back!

What has been happening you might say,  ....I've been shopping heehee! (Just like Tammy in the flower shop below)....and secretly building my collection!

I have tried to cut down on my re-ment collection as I was getting a tad bit obsessive in my quest to get complete sets of everything!!! (still trying to find all the kitchen sets )  but a certain auction site soon put me straight.. ha ha when I got outbid quite a number of times.. so I'm on a re-ment hold for now :

I have been doing a bit of rearranging and making some furnishings too. I have recently discovered the art of crafting and so I have been creating mini pieces of artwork which I will photograph and put up soon... I hope

(Topper Dawn Dale Re-rooted by me :)

I found this Dol-toi tea set at a junk shop and it is simply adorable!

Been busy with the fimo too, I made the treats in the blue and white dishes! and the pizza on the chopping board too

I tried to resist the urge to darken the wooden cladding on the exterior of the house as shown in the last post, but it was too late... I used "dark" oak stain by accident instead of medium oak stain and the cladding turned out darker then I wanted...well! never mind.
This is the finished kitchen in the house yippee :-) I wanted to create a feature wall so I used cream card and dark green card to create a pattern on the left wall which also acts as a splash back cool :)

update so far...

I love wooden cladding so I bought some balsa wood and scored it using a pencil and then stained it with strong tea to create the wood cladding effect :-) and then I used a strip of hardwood as a border.

couldn't resist......

I saw this house online and 2 days ago i was walking with my daughter and we spotted it in our local Shop, so i went in and bought it. It was in kit form, I quickly built it with grand ideas of all I could do to it.
The white bricks are not really my thing and I would love to have real brick effect, I have been experimenting with different textures, papers and other stuff, to create my own bricks... i will post more pictures here and on my other blog as I progress :-)

a well stocked shelf - aaaaah!

the pleasure of miniaturing :-)

Its the weekend! I really should be partying...or something! at least thats what the magazines tell me! humph, I probably wouldn't recognize a "party" if it jumped up and bit me lol! well my weekends are when I look forward to "playing with my miniatures" that's what my son calls it.

For mothers day he made me a card and drew a picture of me watching a property show :-) I love watching them as I get inspirations for my mini scenes in my houses, and inside he said my favourite things where ebay and dolls houses! ouch I see where my budgets been going lol!

The weekends are for miniaturing! and there aren't enough hours for it! Its 11.28pm and I still haven't been able to finish all I planned to do today! but at least I found a local model shop where I bought some metal tubes that are quite easy to bend so I will be making stuff out of them soon.

It is spring so maybe a little "doll-house-spring cleaning" maybe :-)
